Hi, thank you for connecting! My name is Karla, Film Director of In Tune: A Documentary About Mindfulness. On behalf of the film crew, I would like to invite you to be part of an on-going project that needs your collaboration. 

In Tune  is a short documentary film project about mindful listening and the transformational power that sound can have in our quest for true connections - with ourselves and the worlds around us.

In Tune captures and explores a transformative process through film making, storytelling and the production of new music. 

We are surrounded everyday with "sound."  Sound  has the power to connect us and/or destroy us.  It is within and around sounds where we situate our investigation. How do we listen to ourselves amidst the signals and happenings that surround us? What do we need to be listening to, and how do we convert what we hear into transformative opportunities?

This documentary studies the benefits of mindful listening and sound as a means to raising present-awareness and strengthening the mind-body-spirit connection.

About the Filmmaker

Karla Duarte, director of the short documentary In Tune. Her first short documentary Mujer Migrante participated in the 2010 San Diego Latino Film Festival, Women Filmmakers Program. She is founder of Animate A Way an NGO that provides a transformative media arts program for youth, who raise awareness about pressing societal concerns and learn to lead a way forward.
